Vine Burying

After harvest, the vineyard prepares for winter.

The vines are carefully lowered towards the ground and covered with soil, protecting the wood and buds from Ningxia’s severe winter temperatures.

They remain beneath the earth throughout the coldest months, resting until they are uncovered again in spring.

This demanding seasonal work is essential to the survival of the vines and the continuity of every future vintage.
